What a terrible thing to happen. And for the driver to not even come back after such an accident. I hope they find the poor man's leg and the driver gets caught. If he does get caught I hope they throw him in the most prison they have in AZ.

"In this case we're missing a good section of the deceased victim's leg and it's a possibility it's still attached to the car," Mesa police Sgt. Ed Wessing said. "So obviously if someone finds a human leg we would expect them to call police."

Oh awful!

"Mesa, Arizona - Police are looking for a teal or greenish blue Honda. It may be a Civic and it could have missing side mirrors and damage to the front end."

It is so incomprehensible to me that someone could hit another person with a vehicle and keep driving. I don't believe I could ever be more worried about getting in trouble than stopping to render aid. I would much rather sit in jail for drunk driving or involuntary manslaughter with a clean heart than with a guilty conscience for not only hitting someone but running away and leaving them to die like a dog in the gutter.

At least the person had to remove the victims leg from his bumper and hide it or stress about what to do with it. His leg has DNA, his leg was ripped from his body which means there was blood and blood has DNA. I think if the local news keeps reporting this as well as the paper, this person will be caught. You just can't go around running over two people w/o damage to your car.
